Portfolio Shell

Product and implementation

This site: dual entry points (Chat + Terminal) over one local knowledge base, so visitors can explore skills and projects without a live LLM bill.

  • Portfolio home with portrait and the line From idea to production web products
    Home
  • Portfolio chat asking what can be built, with suggested questions
    Chat
  • Portfolio terminal shell with help prompt
    Terminal
  • Portfolio about page with portrait, skills, and bio
    About

Most portfolios are static pages. Visitors who want specifics bounce, and owners either paste walls of text or pay for a chat bot that invents answers.

I shipped a Next.js site with a shared local knowledge base. Chat uses keyword intents and typewriter replies. Terminal uses a small command parser (help, ls, cat, contact, and friends). Work, About, and Contact stay as normal routes so the chat shell is a feature, not the whole brand.

People can interrogate the same facts two ways, with answers that stay on-script. Content updates in one file. No surprise LLM invoice and no hallucinated resume lines.
